Job Summary: The Production Manager will oversee all aspects of the manufacturing process, with a strong emphasis on improving operational efficiency, implementing modernized production techniques, and leveraging CNC and robotic technologies. This role involves managing production teams, optimizing workflows, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to meet quality, cost, and delivery goals. The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with a proven track record in industrial manufacturing and familiarity with CNC systems and robotic automation.

Feladatok

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production Oversight: Manage daily manufacturing operations, ensuring production schedules, quality standards, and cost targets are met across all shifts.
  • Efficiency Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance throughput, reduce waste, and optimize resource utilization using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
  • Modernization Initiatives: Lead the adoption of modern manufacturing technologies, such as advanced CNC systems, robotic automation, and Industry 4.0 solutions (e.g., IoT, data analytics), to streamline operations.
  • CNC & Robotics Knowledge: Oversee the integration and operation of CNC machines and robotic systems (e.g., FANUC, cobots) in production processes. Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize CNC programming and robotic workflows.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and develop production staff, including operators, technicians, and supervisors, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Resource Management: Allocate labor, equipment, and materials effectively to meet production demands while minimizing downtime and costs.
  • Quality Assurance: Work with quality control teams to ensure products meet stringent specifications, particularly those produced via CNC and robotic processes.
  • Safety & Compliance: Enforce compliance with safety regulations and implement best practices for operating CNC and robotic equipment safely. Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
  • Project Management: Lead capital projects, such as equipment upgrades, facility expansions, or automation deployments, ensuring timely and cost-effective execution.
  • Performance Metrics: Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), cycle time, and scrap rates to drive operational excellence.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, supply chain, and maintenance teams to align production goals with product development, inventory management, and equipment reliability.

Elvárások

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in industrial manufacturing, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
    • Demonstrated success in improving production efficiency and implementing modernization initiatives.
    • Practical experience with CNC machining processes (e.g., mills, lathes, multi-axis machines) and familiarity with CNC programming (e.g., G-code, CAM software like Mastercam or Siemens NX).
    • Working knowledge of robotic automation systems for applications such as material handling, welding, or assembly.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for production planning and inventory management.
    • Basic understanding of CAD/CAM software and PLC programming is a plus.
  • Certifications: Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred; certifications in CNC operations or robotics (e.g., FANUC Certified Robot Operator) are a plus.
  • Soft Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and ability to manage cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Other Requirements: Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and production data. Willingness to work flexible hours to support production needs.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including standing, walking, and occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs).
  • Comfortable working around heavy machinery, CNC equipment, and robotic systems while adhering to safety protocols.
