Job Summary: The Manufacturing Engineer (Robotics & CNC Specialization) will design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes with a focus on robotic automation and CNC machining. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance production efficiency, ensure product quality, and integrate advanced automation solutions. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with hands-on experience or willing-to-learn (specific or general) in robotics programming, CNC operations, and process improvement in an industrial manufacturing environment.

Feladatok

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Design & Optimization: Develop and improve manufacturing processes by integrating robotic systems and CNC machinery or other automation to enhance productivity, reduce cycle times, and ensure consistent quality.
  • Robotics Programming & Integration: Program, troubleshoot, and maintain robotic systems (e.g., FANUC, ABB, or KUKA) for tasks such as welding, material handling, or assembly. Integrate robots with existing production lines.
  • CNC Expertise: Develop and optimize CNC programs (e.g., G-code, CAM software) for machining components. Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and machining parameters to meet precision and quality standards.
  • Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure robotic and CNC equipment reliability. Diagnose and resolve technical issues to minimize downtime.
  • Automation Implementation: Lead the design and deployment of automated systems, including robotic workcells and CNC machining centers, to support high-volume production.
  • Process Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation, including work instructions, process flow diagrams, and equipment specifications.
  • Continuous Improvement: Apply Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies to identify and eliminate waste, improve throughput, and reduce costs.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with design, quality, and production teams to ensure manufacturability of new products and seamless integration of automation solutions.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure all robotic and CNC processes comply with safety standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO) and industry regulations. Conduct risk assessments and implement safety protocols.
  • Project Management: Lead or support capital projects, including equipment selection, installation, and commissioning of robotic and CNC systems.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with at least one year focused on robotics and CNC systems in an industrial manufacturing environment.
    • Proven or some experience in programming robotic systems (e.g., FANUC, ABB, KUKA, or similar) or hands-on experience with CNC machining (e.g., mills, lathes, multi-axis machines) and CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Siemens NX, or Fusion 360).
  • Technical Skills:
    • Willing to learn or knowledge in robotic programming languages and simulation tools (e.g., RoboDK, RobotStudio).
    • Knowledge of CNC programming (G-code, M-code) and machining processes.
    • Familiarity with engineering CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for designing fixtures and tooling.
    • Experience with PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley) is a plus.
  • Certifications: Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher preferred; robotics or CNC-specific certifications (e.g., FANUC Certified Robot Programmer) are a plus.
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Other Requirements: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and GD&T. Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime, to support production needs.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including standing, walking, and occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs).
  • Comfortable working around machinery and adhering to strict safety protocols.
